Concept
Groups are composed of various unique individuals. Through this project, people with various sets of knowledge and skills work together to achieve one common goal. It is necessary to delegate task according to the strength and skill of team member to get the best out of the team. This is to achieve the best outcome in this project.
Tool
Assignment Responsibility Matric ( RACI Chart)
It helps in outlining the activities undertaken within a team to that of the people or roles. It also identifies the workload assigned to a particular teammate.
R: Responsible
Individual responsible for completing the task

A: Accountable
Individual is a decision marker and keep responsible individuals informed of any change in decision.
Only 1 accountable person can be assigned to a task
C: Consultant
Individuals who give feedback and contribute to the task.
I: Informed
Individuals who needs to know of a decision and action taken. He/she also needs to be kept informed of the progress.

*Individual can be both accountable and responsible for a same task only if the task is simple.
Experience
When my lecturer was introduced to this tool, my second overall IC in charge was really enthusiastic about using this tool so she built it on Google Excel Sheet. Originally, when I delegate task, I'm uncertain about what's the difference between accountable individuals and responsible individuals.Upon googling, however, I found that those responsible must complete the task before the deadline and those accountable must make decisions and accept the work performed by the responsible individual.

As the NP EEO is our community partner, we would like to keep them updated and consult them if we need details such as the map for recycling bins. NP Environmental Ranger's club will be our consultant as they can provide us with student's perspectives of the environmental initiatives taken.

Since my team members have different abilities, they should be accountable for the role in which they are confident, rather than having the team leader accountable for each task. This can help me diversify the workload and avoid overloading.
For instance, because Bobo has a strong presence in the social media and knows the content that audiences will like to see, she will be acountable for generating marketing ideas. Since this task is small, and at that point in time there is no need to finalize marketing plans, she will also be responsible.

Values & Challenges
However, I wonder sometimes if my team members really often refer to it because every Sunday, we met to delegate task and they might already noted down in their own calender. According to the excel history, some of my team members did not open the document frequently. Nevetheless, all of my teammates managed to complete the task before our discussed deadline.

We also rarely use C and I for storyline videos. Looking back, we would have added Minyi as our consultant because she is more experienced than the rest of the members and Adriel as the one whom we informed since he is our key vetter. If we were to make full use of C and I, those are responsible in producing the videos would have asked adriel any doubts to clarify and this will make the editing process less time consuming. The app that we use does not automatically shift the items to the back if we were to add images/subtitles at the begining of the video so we have to shift the items 1 by 1 to ensure the sequence is right and everything flows smoothly. If we were to debunk our assumption that C and I are only used for third parties, we will not have to continuously edit our storyline videos after submitting the first draft video to our vetter.

Since our workshop is an interactive storyline and we need to create 18 videos, RACI chart will look very messy (left picture) and it might lead to one looking and doing the wrong task. Hence, we have simplify it and put it in our timeline (right picture).
​
All in all, I feel that this tool might be more relevant for team leaders instead of utilizing this tool as a team and the usefulness of this tool is about 30%.
